Back Rehab

The Back Rehab groups were formed off the back of discussions about how to best serve those who are recovering from or managing a back issue, the most common complaint we deal with here at the Clinic.

We want to create a reputation as a healthcare provider who not only gets you better but one that delivers long lasting results that make you as an individual more robust and resilient to reinjury moving forwards.

We recognise the importance of supervised Physiotherapy rehabilitation and felt that better value for money could be offered in a small-group situation rather than infrequent 1:1 appointments.

What are they:

This group will be a Pilates style group aiming to improve core strength, pelvic and lumbar control, confidence and general function. You would be referred to this group from your Physiotherapist with the aim of eventually progressing into either one of our Pilates classes or the Level 2 group (see details of this below).

This group is designed to bridge the gap between low level Pilates-based rehab and return to sports/activity. This group will include several gym-based exercises using external load, equipment and weight to build general strength and conditioning, and support a confident return to more intense activities. From this group you would progress to your normal activity levels or into more general Strength & Conditioning services led by Chris (1:1 or Small group led) for general sports performance focus.

Feedback remains fantastic, and we really feel passionately about how helpful these sessions will be, in particular to those who have suffered with recurrent back issues for a number of years, and those who want to keep performing at a high level in their sports and hobbies for years to come.

We have a proven track record for achieving life-changing results – whether that’s sleeping pain-free, picking up the grandkids, or running a 5km PB off the back of an injury.
