George

Senior Physiotherapist

After qualifying from Coventry University, I gained experience at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust before progressing into Clinical Specialist and Advanced Practice roles at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Alongside my NHS work, I have also worked in private practice and elite sport, including roles with Leicester City, Burton Albion, and Shrewsbury Town Football Clubs.

This broad experience allows me to support a wide range of patients—from those recovering after surgery or returning to sport, to those living with more complex, long-standing pain. I have a particular interest in persistent musculoskeletal pain and enjoy helping people get back to what matters most to them.

My approach focuses on understanding each individual’s goals and supporting them to move better, build confidence, and regain independence, using evidence-based approaches that put the person and their goals at the heart of their care.

Alongside my clinical work, I am a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Worcester, where I contribute to teaching, research, and the development of future clinicians. I am also involved in training physiotherapists through the EVOOLVE Pain Care Academy and contribute to research focused on improving care for people with persistent low back pain and access to physiotherapy services.

Outside of work, I enjoy running and spending time travelling, surfing, and exploring the countryside.
